Army vs Veterans: A Night at St George’s Hall

On 5 November 2022, Hard Hitters Veterans & Community Hub hosted a truly memorable boxing event at Liverpool’s iconic St George’s Hall — Army vs Veterans. The evening brought serving soldiers and ex-military personnel face-to-face in the ring, not as rivals, but as brothers and sisters in arms. The atmosphere was charged with respect, emotion, and solidarity as both sides came together to highlight the shared struggles and strengths that unite them beyond service.

Fighting for Change Beyond the Ring

Every round fought that night symbolised resilience, recovery, and the determination to rebuild lives. More than just a sporting event, it was a movement, raising crucial funds to support veterans through mental health services, housing assistance, and community-based recovery programmes. The event shone a light on the real battles faced after leaving the forces, while proving that with the right support, every fighter can rise again.
